Clock Countdown

Well, I have lots to blog about tonight.
  1. I have just under 8 days until my big birthday, yes, I am will be turning 30. I am not sure how I feel about it. I am kind of excited. 30 begins a new chapter in my life. I am hoping my 30's treat me even better than my 20's did. I just honestly can't believe that I have been existense for 30 years. Man how time flies. I am still in awe that I have been working at Westminster for almost 7 years. It sure does not feel like that. I feel like it has been 3 at most.
  2. So one of my New Year's Resolution was to work out more. I have worked out 13 days out of 22 thus far. I feel really good and am enjoying it. On Mondays I work out with a friend named Dana. We just do random things like walking the track, eliptical, etc. On Tuesdays I do pilates on a reformer. I have been doing this since May and love it. Wednesdays I work out with my personal trainer, Brian. He scares me. He got into shape using P90X. He is intense and I can feel it for days afterwards. Thursdays are reserved for spin class. (I build up all the tension and frustrations of the week and this is where they all go). I feel so refreshed after spin classes. On Fridays I usually do a Zumba class if my work schedule is open since it's in the middle of the day.
  3. So I started going back to Weight Watchers the first of December. After having a year of maintaining the same weight, I decided to kick it into gear and lose this weight for the second and final time. I am down 10 pounds for a total of 30 so far since July 3, 2008. There is a lady in my meetings that hit her 100 lbs right before Christmas. She is such an inspiration. I am following her blog and it is amazing. I wish I would have know about her blog months ago.
  4. I purchased my first workout DVD. It's from the Biggest Loser's trainer Jillian Michaels; 30 day shred. It is an intense workout from what I have read in the reviews, but I actually am excited to see what it entails. I am up for the challenge. It's 25 minutes of workout that I can do at my house. I plan on starting it Feb. 1st (if it gets here by then). I will keep everyone posted as to how it is going.
  5. The last thing for now I will blog about is ITALY! The count down has started. I will post a counter on my blog to count for me! I am getting super excited. I think so is my mom. She is talking more and more about it.

Ok I have to wrap things up because I have a staff meeting in 20 minutes that I need to get ready and head to. Until next time!

New Year, New Start!

Ok, I am going to try super hard to be better at blogging this coming year. I have made some New Year's resolutions and one of them is to blog (more). The year has started out pretty well, but much different than I expected. My ever consistent world is changing around me, even though I feel like I am the same person.

My BFF Kristien has moved clear across the country. I was super sad the day it happened. I am still sad, but managing better than I was. I guess the bonus of her moving is I actually finally have a GREAT excuse to visit Washington D.C. now. My other friend Amanda is getting married in June. I am super happy for her. I haven't seen her since our Scotland trip a year and half ago, so I am looking forward to spending some time with her, even if it chaotic time. My mom and I are finally taking a (well-deserved might I add) trip, just the two of us. We are going to ITALY. It's finally a reality. We leave the beginning of April. Can't wait.

I guess this year is a year of travel. I am just so grateful that I have the abilities to travel and see the things I want to. I am looking forward to each new adventure that the planes take me on.
